The Pointer Wrestling history book added two more WIAA State Champions and placed six on the podium. Senior Roen Carey became a first-time State Champion at 144 lbs after finishing as runner-up the past three years. Senior Kade Rule became a back-to-back State Champion at 165 lbs; Rule finished in 3rd Place as a sophomore. Mineral Point now has 60 total Individual State Wrestling Champions (58 boys titles, 2 girls). This is more than any other school in the state.

A big congrats to Junior Dealya Collins who captured a podium spot for her third year in a row. Collins finished as runner-up at 126 lbs. She was runner-up her sophomore year and 3rd her freshman. Freshman Memphis Burkhalter took 4th place at 106 lbs, Junior Jacob Dannenberg took 6th place at 150 lbs, and Freshman Liam Carey took 6th place at 120 lbs. Congratulations to Emily Heisner, Emmett Collins, Elliot Kite, and Sammy Springer for qualifying for the 2025 WIAA Individual State Wrestling Championships.
