WIAA Rural Mutual State Tournament Sportsmanship Award
At each of the WIAA State Team Tournaments, one school and community is selected to receive the Rural Insurance State Sportsmanship Award, with honorable mention recognition also given to schools who are under consideration for the overall award. State events where the award is given include football, soccer, team tennis, volleyball, girls & boys basketball, gymnastics, hockey, team wrestling, baseball & softball. The WIAA considers the Rural Insurance State Tournament Sportsmanship Award a prestigious honor. It’s truly a community award and one that grows in stature and importance as the years pass.

SWAL Sportsmanship Awards
The Southwest Wisconsin Activities League Sportsmanship Plaque is presented annually to the school whose participants, student fans, adult fans, coaches, directors, advisors, athletic directors, and administrators display the best sportsmanship throughout the school year. In selecting a winner, prime consideration is given to the conduct of spectators and participants in all SWAL Conference Activities. The SWAL Sportsmanship Plaque was officially adopted in the Southern 8 Conference in October 1979. It was revised and adopted by the SWAL on December 7, 1988.
