Last year, the Pointers dropped the second game of their season to the Hillmen (9-2 in 2023) 35-0. When asked about the game last year, Coach Justin Leonard said that "the guys prepared very well and watched a lot of film; they went into the game with a lot of confidence." The 2024 edition of the game will take place at Ron Murphy Field in Mineral Point. On offense, Platteville is led by Senior Quarterback TJ Pink, who threw for four touchdowns against the Pointers in 2023. The Hillmen also bring back a number of skill players.
