On Saturday, January 25th, Eli Lindsey made history as he became the 8th Pointer in the history of Mineral Point Boys Basketball to hit the 1,000-point mark. He accomplished this feat at the home basketball game against Bellville High School. Making this game even more special, it was also Hall of Fame night. Claire Poad, Matt Lindsey, Scott Terrill, Bill Mitchell, and Carolyn (Kinch) Bossert were inducted into the Mineral PoInt Basketball Hall of Fame. 

After meeting the 1000-point benchmark, Eli was nominated for the Wissports.net Player of the Week. A thousand points over the course of four high school seasons is no small task. Only sixteen other Pointer Basketball players have been able to accomplish it, including Pat Murphy, Isaac Lindsey, Joah Filardo, Jamie Sporle, Sy Staver, Chance Wendhausen, Parker Doney, Karla Gribble, Janet Schubert, Amy Edge, Jessi Sporle, Liz Lawinger, Clara Chambers, Jessica Schultz, Sydney Staver, and Mallory Lindsey.
