Mitch Wainwright is the Superintendent of the Mineral Point Unified School District. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater with a major in History and minor in Math.  He then went on to earn his Master’s from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville in Educational Administration. He is a member of the Association of Wisconsin School Administrators and National Association of Secondary School Principals. He previously served as Varsity Girls Basketball Head Coach and High School Principal. Originally from New Glarus, he now resides in Mineral Point.
