Mineral Point High School

Coach Merrill Brunson brings 25 years of coaching experience to Mineral Point, where he begins his first season leading the program. A graduate of Richland Center High School. Coach Brunson believes that defense travels—shots come and go, but toughness and disciplined team defense show up every night. His philosophy centers on five players connected, communicating, helping, rotating, and doing the little things that win games. Offensively, he emphasizes ball movement, trust, and unselfish play, teaching that a good shot for one player is fine, but a great shot for the team is better. By defending together and sharing the ball, Merrill aims to build a team that competes every single night.
