*Until 1979/1980, the WIAA Wrestling State Wrestling Tournament followed an open-class format, where every team competed for one championship. Beginning in 1979/1980, the WIAA introduced the Class system, where teams were broken up into three classes (A, B, and C) based on enrollment. Mineral Point competed in Class C for the duration of the class system.
**In 1990/1991, the WIAA switched from a Class System to a Division System. Nothing changed with the tournament format, except for Class A, B, and C now being called Division 1, 2, and 3. Since the change, Mineral Point has competed in Division 3 every season.
***Until the 1991/1992 season, team championships were decided on the basis of a point system for individuals finishing first, second, etc., at the State (Individual) Tournament. Beginning in the 1991/1992 season, the WIAA introduced the Team State Wrestling Tournament, which saw teams competing in duals at Team Sectionals and Team State. Before this change, Mineral Point "competed" in the state tournament every year that an individual wrestler qualified for the tournament. Since 1991/1992, the Pointers have only competed at state in years that they have won the Team Sectional Championship.
